Matt Baker – Director
Matt is a multi-skilled Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in accounting, tax and finance. Matt has worked for several blue chip accounting firms and international banks in NZ, UK and Russia, including KPMG, PWC and Credit Suisse, as well as successfully operating several businesses.
Having advised a number of organisations across a variety of industries, Matt has expertise in the areas of taxation, restructuring, business planning and start-ups, property, strategic planning and succession planning.
Matt has expertise in tax having previously practiced to tax partner level at an international accounting firm. He is an expert in establishing tax effective structures, including both inbound and outbound investment.
Matt holds several independent directorships and trusteeships and is a full member (CA) of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). Matt is the former Chairman and current Treasurer of the Grammar TEC Rugby Club.
ANGELINE WILLOUGHBY - Associate Director
Angeline has been with Baker Chartered Accountants since its beginning in 2011. She is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience in both the corporate and chartered accountancy environment. Over the years she has developed great working relationships with the clients she looks after.
She has worked with a wide range of clients in manufacturing, technology, financial services, trading trusts, property related industries and high net worth individuals. Angeline specialises in Business Advisory Services for predominately small to medium clients.
Angeline is a full member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Management Studies degree.
Outside of work, Angeline enjoys spending time with her daughter Adriana, hosting dinner parties for her friends and drinking a good drop of wine with her husband Duncan.
SHARLENE BROOKER - Senior Accountant
Sharlene has been with BCA since December 2014. She is a Chartered Accountant and has many years of experience in Business Services and Taxation, including annual and periodic accounting, income tax, wages, GST and related tax work.
Sharlene is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Business degree.
Outside of work Sharlene enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
VERONICA THU - Senior Accountant
Veronica joined BCA in July 2020 after taking a break from accounting to have a family. Veronica is a fully qualified chartered accountant trained at BDO.
Outside of work Veronica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, travelling and walking.
Marie Bunyan – Accountant
Marie has been with BCA since May 2017. Marie has over 15 years of business services experience on a wide range of clients.
Outside of work Marie enjoys spending time with family, travelling, exercising, socialising and golf.
SOMI SAUV - Accountant
Somi has been with BCA since Feb 2019. Somi is a chartered accountant with over 10 years of business services and audit experience.
Outside of work Somi enjoys spending time with family, exercising and has a keen interest in property.
VICTORIA WATTS - Bookkeeper
Victoria joined BCA in May 2019. Victoria is a Xero Certified Bookkeeper with experience in running her own yoga business. As well as providing bookkeeping & Companies Cffice services to clients, Victoria ensures the office here at BCA runs smoothly.
Outside of her work for BCA, Victoria still instructs yoga, enjoys travelling, socialising and spending time with her husband Matt, sons Brody and Colt and pet cat Mieshka.
